Today Mini Vinnies begin their session with the prayer. It was the first time we met after Christmas break. We discussed St Vincent de Paul from our parish to come to our school to chat with Mini Vinnies about the job they do.

Some of the Mini Vinnies were on a school trip today. We started our session with the pledge. As a group they spoke and made note of questions that they would like to ask the members of the SVP. We have been in contact with one of the members and meeting should take place in the next week or so. Mini Vinnies are also going to be leading our Big Lent Walk Assembly. We briefly talked about designing posters to spread the word around the school.

Today we met and started our session with our prayer. We discussed the questions that Mini Vinnies would like to ask the SVP from our parish, who are visiting us soon. Still waiting for confirmation from them. We then talked about our Big Lent Walk assembly. The group then went on to design posters to promote this.

 Today Mini Vinnies met with Mrs Harmsworth and Mrs German who are part of the SVP from our Parish. We were very excited to have them as our guests. We began our session with a prayer, then Mrs German told us the history of how SVP was created. It was a very interesting story. We found out lots of facts about SVP, then we were able to ask Mrs German and Mrs Harmsworth questions that we prepared in our earlier meetings. It was a very educational session for us.

We began our session with the Mini Vinnies prayer. We discussed how Lent is an important time in Christian life. Next we we talked about Grand Parents afternoon that Mini Vinnies will be hosting on 26th of March. Grand Parents/ carers  from Yr1/2 , Yr2  will be invited on that day. We discussed how to organise that afternoon.

In today's session Mini Vinnies were practicing their opening speech for Grandparents Afternoon. Each member had a part to read to welcome all Grandparents and carers.
