15th January 2026.

Today we went around our school ticking off what we have and haven't done for bio diversity, the children discussed carefully what trees we have available, what plants we have for pollinators, wild life, bird house and bird baths. we also looked at what we can do to add the things we ticked on the list we have which we will be turning those into a yes throughout this season till summer. The children are very excited about this and to learn more about climate change in our area and around the world.

Bio-diversity

We started our biodiversity journey by learning how to support local wildlife. One of our first activities was making a hedgehog home using natural materials, helping us understand the importance of creating safe habitats and caring for the environment. This helped us have an understanding the importance of providing shelter for animals, especially natural habitats. This activity showed us how we can care for nature in practical ways and encourage us to look more closely at the living things that share our environment.

Biodiversity

29.1.2026

Today the eco club children have been busy documenting the wildlife around our school, taking time to carefully observe animals and insects in their natural environment. they recorded what they see through notes and pictures, helping them learn how different species live and interact. This activity has encouraged the children to be patient, curious, and respectful of nature. By exploring their surroundings, they are developing a stronger connection to the environment and a better understanding of why protecting local wildlife is important.

Feb/6/26

Today the children learned even more about biodiversity, while meeting the local council charity, They explored how different plants grow and why having a variety of plants is important for nature. The children enjoyed harvesting the food they had previously grown and were excited to taste it. Many showed pride in their work and were more willing to try new foods. This activity helped them build a stronger connection to nature and understand where food comes from. I also had a 3 and half our meeting on climate change on a smaller scale to larger scale and how its affected.
