Immersion Day- The Epiphany
We immersed ourselves in our new Seize the Season – Celebrations topic by exploring Epiphany ✨ The children learned the story of Epiphany and how it is celebrated around the world, before creating crowns and streamers inspired by Spain’s Three Kings parade (Cabalgata) 👑🎉
Like the Three Wise Men, we journeyed to St Patrick’s Church, where the wonderful Christine provided a truly magical and immersive experience – even showing us real frankincense. The children made crowns for Christine, Mrs Taylor, Mr Taylor and Canon Mike, and gifted them biscuits baked in our class kitchen, just as the Three Wise Men brought gifts for baby Jesus 🥰
On our return to school, the teachers threw sweets into the crowd, just like in Spain’s Three Kings parade! 🍬🎊 It was a joyful day full of learning, teamwork and creativity.
