Minutes of the Meeting

13th February 2026

Please find the picture of the winners of the CST story writing Competition in the Spring Term Activity folder.

10th February 2026

CST ambassadors read all the story entries and debated on who is going to be the winner. The stories were a good read and it was a difficult decision.

27th January 2026

The CST ambassadors made posters to invite year 1 to year 6 to write their own stories based on the CST principles of Solidarity and Subsidiarity. The winner will be announced on the 13th of February at the Celebration Assembly.

21st January 2026

The CST ambassadors conducted an assembly on the two current principles of 'Subsidiary and Solidarity'. They reintroduced 'Sid' the sheep and 'Shristi' the bear to the whole school. The ambassadors re-told the story of the two animals and related the virtues to the Rights to Respecting articles 5 and 29 respectively. The assembly was very helpful in reinstating how the principle can affect our lives and gave missions of 'Go out and show that you care for others' and created a motto of 'Live wisely, Think deeply and Love Generously'.

14th January 2026

This term the action plan centered on ‘Subsidiary’ teaching the values of compassion and kindness through the story of the Good Samaritan. It aimed to help children understand the importance of helping others and apply these principles in their daily lives. The ambassadors collaborated to design and perform a role play inspired by the Good Samaritan, demonstrating Catholic Social Teaching and the power of subsidiarity in everyday life.

‘Go and do likewise.’ — Luke 10:37

06th January 2026

A very Happy New Year. The ambassadors met today after the half term holidays. They were very excited to learn the new CST principles of Subsidiarity and Solidarity. The ambassadors made their Action Plan for this term and are thinking on how they can work on these principles to help our school and our community by working together and being true to the Catholic Teachings.

18th November 2025

The ambassadors made beautiful posters about 'Caring for God's gift'. They asked the children in the school to follow Sofia the sloth and practice 'Stewardship'. The poster is on ' Autumn Term Activity folder'.

16th October 2025

CST Ambassadors conducted a very successful whole school assembly. The theme of our assembly was focusing on two key principles- Stewardship and Human Dignity.

Sophia the Sloth, helped us to think about Stewardship and taking responsibility for the world around us.

Luc the Deer, reminded about Human Dignity- seeing every person as made in the image of God and treating everyone with love and respect.

The Rights to Respecting Team also helped us to make connections to Article 29 and Article 2 which links to the above mentioned principles.

Please find our reel on our school social media page.

7th October 2025

The CST were on a mission today to look after God's World and showed stewardship by planting Daffodil bulbs around the school. Please find our planting pictures in the 'Autumn Term Activity' folder.

30th September 2025

The CST ambassadors met and discussed creating their own mission statements. They concluded that they are each making a poster which will be collated and added to the Mission folder in the school website. Later that day they went around classes and gave each class their very own CST book. This book has the CST icons where the children can write what principles they followed and what good deeds they have done for the day. Please find pictures in the 'Autumn Term Activity folder'.

23rd September 2025

Today was our first meeting. We sat down in a circle and had an open discussion regarding what it means to be a Catholic Social Teaching (CST) ambassador. We watched St. Francis's letter to the world known as 'Laudato Si' in the 'CAFOD' website. Later, we took a group picture to introduce ourselves to the wider community.
