We had a wonderful time celebrating our “Flower Day”! 🌸🌼 The children looked fantastic, each dressed in their own creative interpretation of a flower. We began by exploring the artist Frida Kahlo, who was well known for her beautiful portraits and for incorporating flowers into her hair, often wearing striking flower crowns. Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of exciting activities. In the kitchen area, they made cakes and biscuits, carefully decorating them to look like flowers. In the builders’ yard, the children used large-scale resources to construct their own creations. In the studio, they painted flowers and have started creating self-portraits, thoughtfully including floral elements. Out in the garden, each child planted their very own sunflower seed, which we are looking forward to watching grow over time 🌻 It has been a joyful and creative day filled with imagination, exploration, and lots of fun!
